About Us

At Best Friends Childcare Centre, we serve Pitt Meadows Elementary and Highland Park Elementary, offering safe walks to and from school. Our care spans from infancy to Grade 3, with specialized programs for each age group. We provide nurturing Infant and Toddler Care (12 months to 3 years) and a child-centered, play-based Daycare (3 to 5 years) inspired by the Reggio approach. Our School Age Care Program (Kindergarten to Grade 3) promotes social skills, life skills, and self-awareness through engaging activities and outdoor play. We are dedicated to nurturing each child's unique strengths and potential, ensuring a rich, stimulating, and joyful experience.

OUR MISSION

At Best Friends Childcare Centre, we honor each child's uniqueness and partner with families to build a strong foundation from infancy to Grade 3. Our programs provide enriched environments where children explore, learn, and play. We follow an emergent curriculum, encouraging children's natural curiosities, and focus on developing social and life skills. Our goal is to ensure every child's time with us is rich, stimulating, and joyful.

Parent and Community Involvement

At Best Friends Childcare Centre, we value strong connections with parents and the community. Our community involvement includes inviting professionals such as police officers, firemen, dentists, and others to engage with the children through demonstrations. We also host an annual holiday food drive to support our community.

Parental involvement is integral to our approach. We host events such as our annual Sports Day every June, Mother’s Day Tea, Preschool Graduation for those heading to kindergarten, and Breakfast with Santa. These events foster a sense of community and create memorable experiences for families.

Each day we work hard to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, play and socialize! This Foundation is what we call the "Best Friends Philosophy".

Our Philosophy

Summer Camp

We have offered summer camps for elementary students for over 16 years. Our daily schedule varies daily, depending on the planned activities. At least once per week, we visit the waterpark, and on Friday's we have Ice Cream Floats and go to a movie!
